Techniquest - the UK´s most family friendly science centre with more than 150 hands-on exhibits and puzzles, Science Theatre, Planetarium, Discovery Room, Laboratory and The Hub.
Techniquest is part of the following Editors' Picks:
"Techniquest, Cardiff. Once you have seen Santa, opened all your presents and eaten all the mince pies, it is time to visit Cardiff’s very own science museum, Techniquest. This museum is ideal for keeping children entertained over the Christmas period. It is full of interactive exhibits and includes shows full of exciting science demonstrations. This is the place to find out why you shouldn’t put metal in a microwave and what you should never put in your toilet. There are also planetarium shows for budding astronomers where you can learn how many moons circle Jupiter, what Saturn’s rings are made from and what makes Neptune blue. The Bubbles and Blasts show is very popular over Christmas. This is a firm favourite for children who like fire and explosions. A show full of bubbles, huge bubbles, square bubbles, glowing bubbles, bubbles that burst into flames and bubbles that go bang. Bubbles and Blasts is on till 20 January."
