Strathspey Railway

The Strathspey Railway aims to offer the visitor an experience of a Railway of the 1950s to 1960s period. Why not take a trip on the train to re-capture the nostalgia of this era. Individuals, couples, families or indeed larger groups will enjoy the experience and whether you require a light snack or lunch, the new catering service is there to serve your needs. On leaving Aviemore, relax, enjoy the heather moorland and the Cairngorm Mountain range from the carriage window; scenes almost unchanged in a hundred years. Arrive at Boat of Garten, a village created by the coming of the old railway companies that served the area.
