Motherwell Heritage Centre

Motherwell Heritage Centre was opened in 1996. It has since received a VisitScotland `4 Stars´ award and a Scottish Museums of the Year award for its audio-visual displays. In the centre´s permanent display, Technopolis, discover the heritage of the area from the Romans to the present day. Then take in the view of the Clyde Valley from the fifth-floor viewing platform. In the local studies room you can search out your family history and there is also a small shop with gifts, toys and books. Throughout the year the foyer gallery hosts a series of exhibitions from national and local heritage to contemporary art and crafts.
