Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm really is a very lovely place to while away the time, watching those huge splashes of colour swirl and dance around you as you pick your way through the tropical blossom surrounded by the splish splosh of little waterfalls and ponds. There’s something about the way the butterflies dart and dash around the heads of visiting children that makes you want to spend all day there. The farm, which is home to butterflies from all over the world, has a Caterpillar Room which reveals the life cycle of the butterfly so you get to ogle cocoons, giant silk moths and shining pupae dangling from the plants. There’s also an Insect City for those who love their creepy crawlies, and ArachnoLand, where the deadly Black Widow Spider resides…
