Planet Earth Museum & Sussex History Trail is one of the finest museums of its type in the country with life size moving dinosaurs and interactive displays. The Museum traces the origins of the Earth with a spectacular collection of fossils, minerals and crystals. One of the displays is a fossil dinosaur egg from the Xixia basin in China, laid 97 million years ago and overcome by floods before it could hatch.

Planet Earth Museum & Sussex History Trail is part of the following Editors' Picks:

The Ten Best Places for the Kids in East Sussex by Dinah Hatch

"Life-size moving dinosaurs? What’s not to love? Take the kids on a dinosaur safari and let them wander the grounds accompanied by the roaring of T-Rexes and Triceratops until they spot the fearsome creatures towering over the vegetation and ready to pounce! There’s also a Museum of Life stuffed with incredibly old fossils and intricate crystals and a series of themed gardens to explore when the sun shines."
