The Poppy Line (M&GN Joint Railway Society and NNR)

The Poppy Line (M&GN Joint Railway Society and NNR) has five and a quarter miles of track running through a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The North Norfolk Railway offers trips by steam trains or vintage diesel trains on some journeys. Throughout the year the flowers along this stretch of track are a sight to see, paricularly in spring and summer with the primroses, bluebells and yellow gorse. To the south the beauty spots of Kelling Heath and Sheringham Park and to the north, the sea, all within easy reach of the various stations. Restoration of three sets of vintage wooden-bodied vehicles is currently being undertaken by the M&GN Society, saving a unique part of transport history.
