Leeds Castle
Set in 500 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens, Leeds Castle in the garden of England is the perfect backdrop to your day out. Bring the whole family to Leeds Castle with your Key to the Castle ticket (valid for one year) and journey through 900 years of captivating history. Open all year round, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Run wild in the Knights’ Realm playground, lose yourself in the maze, relax in one of the formal gardens or tour the castle itself. Complete your day by visiting our gift shops offering a variety of gift ideas and souvenirs and the Fairfax restaurant offering hot and cold dishes. If you want to enjoy walking through the beautiful gardens, the Wood Garden is continually developed to build colour throughout the seasons. It has also become a sanctuary for wildlife and waterfowl, among them the famous black swans. The Pavilion Garden, which used to contain two tennis courts, is planted with rhododendrons and azaleas. Transformed in 1980 by Russell Page, the Culpeper Garden has traditional box-edged beds filled with roses and colourful perennials, a quintessential English country cottage garden. The Lady Baillie Garden is rich with Mediterranean and sub-tropical plants, providing flowers throughout the year. We also have two new attractions to the estate including Elsie the castle train and the Black Swan ferry boat. (Please not, these are seasonal). There is also a host of events throughout the year with entry valid with your ticket, including Spring into Easter, Jousting Tournaments, the Autumn Glory Flower Festival and Christmas at the Castle.
