Dive into Weymouth Sea Life Park where a whopping 1,000 sea creatures await your gaze including penguins, seals, otters, turtles, seahorses and crocodiles. There are naturally-themed indoor and outdoor features such as the underwater walk-through tunnel, the rain forest area and the Shark Reef. But this seven-acre site by the sea in Dorset offers much more besides. The Sealife Tower soars high above the town and gives amazing views over the Jurassic coastline, turning 360 degrees and rising 170 feet high (if you buy a BIG ticket, there’s a free flight to be had up the tower plus entry to the centre plus a free round of Pirate Adventure golf). Back on the ground, there are fun children’s rides and a water play area plus a busy calendar of events that sees child-friendly visitors dropping in such as TV’s The Octonauts. Look out for the fun and educational talks and feeding sessions that run through the day and take a peek at the site’s conservation area. Little ones adore the Claws Rockpool where they get to grapple with a giant spider crab while slightly older ones get a kick out of the Factfinders Quiz Trail and Adventure Trail. Ticket prices: individual (adults and children)£22.50, family £17.25 per person, children under 3 free. You can save £8 on the BIG ticket to the Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower when you book your tickets online at www.visitsealife.com/Weymouth/buy-tickets. You can book tickets over the phone by calling 0871 423 2110.
