Fans of Aynsley China are a dedicated bunch and need no introduction to the company’s factory shop and tour in Stafforshire. If you don’t know about this historic fine bone china production house that has been creating lovely pieces of tableware and teaware since 1775, this is your chance to learn more. The company is known for its delicate hand gilding in gold and platinum and adherence to traditional manufacturing techniques and a trip around the factory gives further insights into the intricate craftsmanship that goes into making any Aynsley piece. The company has now joined with Belleek Pottery and Galway Crystal and you’ll find fine examples of all three brands in the factory shop in Longton. There’s also an excellent coffee shop serving light lunches and snacks. Aynsley continue to expand their retail sector and have now opened a second outlet at the Trentham Estate in Stoke-on-Trent.
