It’s often the case that you turn up at a theme park with small children and they are too young to go on any of the rides which, as every parent knows, leads to tantrums. So Cornwall’s Flambards attraction is a tonic. There are plenty of tamer rides for little ones (for example the spinning teacups) as well as a few for older thrill seekers such as Extreme Force, Skyraker 001 (a heart stopping drop tower ride) and the Hornet Rollercoaster. What really sets Flambards apart thought is its super Victorian Village, with its fabulously detailed shops and cobbled streets (grab an audio tour to learn loads more about the era) and the Britain In Blitz exhibition (open by the ultimate WWII icon Vera Lynn), a bombed out street that shows young ones exactly what their great grand parents lived through.

Cornwall's Top Ten Family Attractions by Dinah Hatch
"Suitable for all ages, you get great bang for your buck at Flambards, which is bursting with activities such as thrilling fairground rides, go-karting circuits, fascinating exhibitions (such as Britain in the Blitz), huge indoor play areas and a Cornish mine train that shuttles you about. Superb fun and often with great online entry fee offers, our favourite was the brilliant Victorian Village (a life size replica with 50 shops) and the peaceful Garden Aviary."

Review of Flambards
Posted on by Charlie OllivierType of travel: Family
I have visited Flambards numerous times over the years and I have very fond memories of it.
My first visit was when I was 9 or 10 and the Victorian Village really fascinated me, I would highly recomend it to families with children of all ages, I still remember when I first set eyes on the beautiful wedding dresses that are exhibited from previous eras, it really is like stepping back in time.
The whole park seems to have a great family feeling with fun for everyone. I really cannot fault it. Really a fantastic day out that you and your children will always remember! Educational and fun rarely realisticly happens that often but at Flambards that really is what it is. I
Hope to pay it another visit soon.
