Make your way past the old-fashioned Cadbury’s Cocoa and Colman’s Mustard advertising boards, take a seat in the wonderfully retro Bodmin Station Refreshment Rooms for a Cornish pasty and a cuppa and then board a steam train for a 6.5-mile nostalgia trip. This is the Bodmin and Wenford Railway which revisits the old 1950s Cornish branch lines and allows you to soak up the gorgeous West Country scenery along the way. With the purchase of a day pass, you can hop on and off the train and soak up some of the scenery, go for a walk in Cardinham Woods, pop into Lanhydrock Country House or walk the Camel Trail from Boscarne Junction, a stunning 30 minute stroll that ends at the pub!
