Overview

Pack your rucksack with a flask of tea and some sandwiches and set off for a day of mountain biking, tree-climbing, zip-wiring, horse-riding or simply strolling with the dog and chatting through some of the glorious 2000 acres that make up Bedgebury Forest. In summer it's bliss to inhale the wonderful fresh smell of the National Pinetum which is home to one of the world's best conifer collections but this gorgeous Kent beauty spot is lovely to walk around in all weather. And there's plenty to do with the kids too, an adventure trail offering them the challenges faced by the world's famous explorers who brought back some of the area's exotic trees and shrubs. A perfect family day out.
