Everyone loves a ride on a tram so take yourself off to Crich Tramway Village , home of the national tramway museum, in the heart of Derbyshire for a nostalgia fest. Visitors ride on vintage trams through a period street and then onto open countryside. Have a pie and pea lunch in Rita's Tearooms, treat yourself to coffee and cake, visit the Red Lion Pub for a choice of cask ales or a light snack. Stock up on traditional confectionary at Barnett’s Sweet Shop and tuck into locally-produced ice-creams at Bluebell’s Ice Cream Parlour. The site also has a new play area with separate soft play area for toddlers, climbing frame and ball pit. This captivating journey into history is made complete with a stroll on the fascinating Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail.

Review of Crich Tramway Village

Posted on by Rebecca NCustomer visited May 2015

Fabulous! Riding the trams and seeing the old fashioned (completely authentic) road, pub & tea rooms is great fun. There is much to entertain and learn at Crich and themed events are regularly put on so visits aren't always the same. Your entry payment allows you to return FOC for 1 year.
Definitely worth a visit.
