Guildford House Gallery


Guildford House Gallery, dates back to 1660. This fascinating Grade I listed building opened as an art gallery in 1959, and still retains many of its original features including a finely carved staircase, panelled rooms and decorative plaster ceilings. Collections include pastel portraits by Guildford born John Russell, historical and modern paintings, drawings and prints. The varied temporary exhibitions include photography, craftwork, costumes and paintings of local and national importance throughout the year.
