Woburn Safari Park

We defy your kids not to be helpless with laughter at the antics of the curious monkeys who clamber over your car as you five-mile-an-hour it around the park (watch that aerial) although my highlight was the lion’s enclosure in which my husband panicked unnecessarily that the car windows were not strong enough to withhold a lioness’ angry swipe. But there’s loads more than the drive-through safari experience, with keepers’ talks and demos taking place, the Mammoth Play Ark, the 3D safari cinema experience in Sea Lion Cove and the elephant encounters in the lovely Elephant Meadow. Thrill seekers will love the Go Ape concession (there’s also a treetop experience for younger kids too), little ones enjoy the Swan Boats and everyone adores the Great Woburn Railway ride through the Wild World Leisure Area and the camel paddock.

This June, you can get extra close to the largest residents of Woburn Safari Park with a special event dedicated to our elephant herd. The Asian elephants are inviting you to join them at a tranquil lakeside location, in an exclusive location on the Duke of Bedford’s private estate. Buy your tickets online for the Elephant BBQ event on the 29th June, prices are set at £99 per adult and £79 per child.
