Overview

The Michelin starred and three-rossette Cedar Tree by Hrishikesh Desai restaurant is a fine dining experience offering seasonal menus crafted from the very best of local produce, using fresh ingredients from their very own Kitchen Garden. The restauarant is open to residents and non-residents on Wednesday to Saturday for dinner.

Bistro Enkel is a more casual expeience with classic, uncomplicated but beautifully crafted dishes. The Bistro is open Sunday to Tuesday 6-8.15pm. Sunday lunch is available between 12-2.15pm

The dining area is light, airy and welcoming, a delightful place to dine in a relaxed atmosphere. Menus can be tailored to cater for special dietary needs, just let them know in advance.

Arrival information & directions

The Cedar Tree Restaurant at Farlam Hall is situated 12.5 miles South East of Carlisle on the A689 Brampton to Alston road.  The main North/South Motorway, the M6 is only 10 miles to Junction 44 if traveling North or Junction 43 if traveling South. It is a 15 to 20 minutes’ drive to either junction.

When leaving the M6 follow signs to Newcastle along the A69 and on arriving at Brampton take a right turn along the A689 signposted Alston and Hallbankgate.  Follow the road over the level crossing and Farlam Hall is a mile ahead on the left handside. 

If travelling from Newcastle follow the A69 towards Carlisle and on reaching Brampton turn left on to the A689 and follow directions above.

The property has onsite parking with an electric charging point as well as having a helipad within the grounds
